
The Dhaka National Medical College acquires her magnificent ancestor the Dhaka National Medical Institute, which was laid out in 1925 as a piece of Non-participation development of the Indian Sub-mainland contrary to the British frontier rule, coordinated mutually by the Indian National Congress and the Indian Muslim League under the Leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, Mawlana Muhammad Ali and Mawlana Sawkat Ali.
Alongside different projects the Non-collaboration development encouraged upon the People of the sub-mainland to blacklist instructive foundations laid out and regulated by British Govt. furthermore, to lay out National Schools, Colleges and Institutes for present day logical training by the neighborhood individuals themselves. Likewise two Medical Schools were laid out in the Bengal Province for creating National Doctors of current medication. One such Medical School was at Calcutta, named Calcutta National Medical Institute and the other at Dhaka, named Dhaka National Medical Institute.
